I’m so proud of her

grad-plus-fam

It was three long years…

…but Heather got her Masters degree from the University of Denver last Friday. She worked hard and got straight A’s. (Sadly, there was no recognition of that in the ceremony.)

I can brag on her because I’m married to her.

One little story about that degree… She did about 80% of her courses on-line. The entire first year was completed while we lived in Nairobi, Kenya. Our connection to the internet there was extremely slow. She had to drop one of the courses because it was just impossible to download the needed materials.

Congratulations, Heather!

  1. Wow! Congratulations Masteress Merrill. WHat an accomplishment. You should be extremely proud. Wish we could party with you!

  2. Yay, Heather! Good feeling, huh? But what will you do with yourself now? That’s how I felt the week after I finished because I’d been focusing so hard for so long on the schoolwork! 🙂 You get used to having a life again. And nope, they don’t give much recognition for those hard-earned straight A’s at the master’s level. That disappointed me, too! Anyway, BIG CONGRATS to the whole family for supporting Heather through it all. What’s next?

  3. Congratulations!!!! Wow, as I am half-way (or so) on my masters I fully understand the commitment it takes to finish. Wonderful job! I also know what a support your family must have been for you to get through it!

  4. Wow! Congratulations Heather! It’s definitely something to have your daughter graduate, but your spouse? Now that’s something else! Way to go!
